I can't say enough about the beautiful accommodations at the Ikia Luxury condo in Gonia, near Rethemymno . Driving to the town we were somewhat leery then we arrived and I felt that we could have stayed the entire summer. The town is charming, the restaurant owned by the family is fabulous, but the condo is Amazing..spacious, comfortable, Brand New! I wish we had planned to stay longer..next time, for sure!

Me and my family were staying in this place from 30th of July till 17th of August. First - the flat is situated in a small village Gonia very close to Rethymno and a seaside. The accommodation itself is very modern, cosy and decorated with natural eco materials. Mr Andreas (the owner of the property) and all his family living nearby were very friendly and hospitable, they brought us eggs, fruits, homemade wine and sent many useful information where to go and what to see. The price for the house includes also cleaning every 5 days. There is a tavern underneath the flat. It also belongs to the family of the owner and I can say that food there is really wonderfull (especially chicken on grill) and tastier than anywhere around. I can highly recommend the property and his owner. He made a present the last evening before our departure - a bottle of homemade olive oil. This is lovely isn't?

Very nice apartment (Green Key), luxurious, modern, well equipped and furnished with taste. The bedding is extremely comfortable , everything is like new ....
The apartment has 2 big terraces, one side rooms, the other side living room with everything needed to eat ....
The owners of taverna Androulidakis located just below the apartement, they are amazing and always welcoming . You can eat excellent meal like moussaka ....
On our arrival, we were greeted by the owner Andreas who is extremely kind, helpful and generous. He gave us all the information we needed, both in the apartment as places to discover near Gonia, knowing that this small village is only about 10 minutes from Rethymnon and 40 minutes from the beautiful Plakias bay….
I highly recommend this beautiful apartment with your family or friends.

Our overall experience was very good. We were greeted warmly by Andreas upon our arrival in Gonia. He showed us the apartment and made sure that we had everything we needed. The apartment was modern, renovated and well-equipped. Also, when we later had some problems with Wi-Fi, Andreas was able to help us quickly. He also gave us ideas of what to do in Crete during our one-week stay.
The apartment is located in a small village away from the city hustle and bustle but still close enough to Rethymno, about 15 minutes’ drive. Below the apartment there is a tavern where we could enjoy delicious Cretan food. We also took advantage of the sunny terraces of the apartment and enjoyed a lovely breakfast there every morning. The apartment is along the main street of the village accompanied with some occasional traffic. There is also a small grocery store a step away from the apartment as well as a gas station, which were both useful for us.
We had good time in Crete and the great apartment played its role in it.

"I had a great time staying in Andreas's flat in Gonia. The flat is located in a small village about 10-15 minutes drive from Rethymno so having a car is fairly essential. There are a few very nice taverns around it including one directly under the flat where you can order food that is delivered right to your flat.
The flat itself is modern, very well furnished and decorated and in excellent condition with all the amenities required.
We have arrived quite late and I unfortunately forgot to tell Andreas about the time of arrival but nevertheless Andreas has quickly arrived to let us in whilst we had a meal in the tavern and also offered us some wine! He was also very helpful in letting us know about the places to see, etc and in resolving any issues/questions that we had about the apartment.
All in all an excellent experience. Would highly recommend!"

"Andreas' apartment is really amazing. It is equipped with everything you can imagine, even a hot tub. It is located above Andreas' taverna in the small village of Gonia, 15 minutes from the Rethimnon historic center and 10 minutes from the Cretan main road E75. So if you want to go on trips throughout this part of Crete, it's an ideal starting point for you.
Communication with Andreas was really great. Andreas was also very kind, helpful and generous. Upon our arrival we were greeted by a carafe of local wine and Easter biscuits from his mother. In the fridge we had even basic groceries. Upon departure, we were gifted two bottles of Raki."

The day we arrived we met in Rethymno with the owner Andreas and went together to the house. Andrew was very friendly and above all on time. Arrived at the apartment we were warmly welcomed by his sister in law and his mother, which, together with his brother run the Taverna Androulidakis, which is under the apartment. On arrival he handed us two filled bags with a few things for breakfast. The sister in law brought us even eggs from their own chickens. The apartment is bright and friendly and everything makes an impression of quality and to our delight, everything was very clean. Two balconies offer plenty of space to enjoy the balmy evenings. Dinner has been going on in both the tavern and on the road. While it was noisy, but not unpleasant. The location outside Rethymno turned out to be a great way to explore the island from here. In a few minutes you are on the highway to go to Heraklion or Chania, but the south beaches are so easy to reach. A rental car is a must here. On the last evening Andreas gave us a little present and ever was his whole family thoroughly hospitable. We would always hire the apartment again!

Nous avons séjourné chez andreas pendant 11 jours tout a etait parfait de son acceuil à ses conseils et sa gentillesse. L appartement est grand et tres bien équipé.on est loin des grands hotels bruyant on a vraiment l impression d etre logé chez l'habitant. La taverne situé juste en dessous propose des plats typiques vraiment succulent nous y avons mangé plusieurs fois durant notre séjour. Si vous recherchez un endroit calme a 10min de voiture de rethymnon foncez.
